250 GTO Ferrari Museum

Amongst the many cars that feature the famous badge of the Prancing Horse, one that certainly has the greatest success and acclaims the greatest admiration is the 250 GTO. The 250 GTO is the final evolution resulting from a long series of highly successful cars, the 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione.

Four months after its construction with the bodywork of the first series, in May of 1963, the car on display had been involved in an accident during the Tour de France. It was then sent to the Ferrari Factory to be repaired according to the configuration of ’64, with the bodywork of second series car.
